In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest memories would be when I met the Legendary Luther Vandross who was my label mate on J Records. He would take me to brunch at The Ivy in LA every Sunday. I will forever miss him and cherish those times. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brandy, Full Moon Joe, My Name Is Joe Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Brandy was my favorite artist since I was a teenager, and I used to study her vocals. Joe is my favorite male vocalist, and I had the honor of meeting and working with him when I was making my debut album. These 3 albums are classics! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “You Are” This song is special to me because I wrote it for my late mother. She passed away in 2018 from Parkinson's Disease. I still cry when I hear it. I hope this song gives people some comfort who have lost a loved one/parent. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my most memorable moments would be when I met Tina Turner at Fashion week overseas. I did not understand the magnitude of the moment then because I was 24 yrs old. Music has introduced me to people & taken me to places I have only dreamed of. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There will always be new things to learn and try as. I have more artists I would love to collaborate with and plenty of music to share with the world. I hope to keep inspiring others to follow their dreams.
