Nap Eyes

Nap Eyes are a Canadian indie rock band whose arch lyricism and cerebral musings are matched with a pleasing, lo-fi jangle. Originating out of Halifax in the early 2010s, they released an informal trilogy of critically admired albums for the Paradise of Bachelors label in the middle years of that decade. Built around the literate, almost stream-of-consciousness voice of songwriter/guitarist Nigel Chapman, the band underwent a slight sonic shift in 2020 with their more elaborately arranged fourth outing, Snapshot of a Beginner, this time on Jagjaguwar. They later returned to Paradise of Bachelors for their fifth album, 2024's The Neon Gate.
