By the time she released her debut EP, Sis, in 2020, R&B singer and songwriter KIRBY had written songs for some of the biggest names in the business. • While growing up in Southaven, Mississippi, KIRBY studied at the Stax Music Academy in Memphis. • In 2012, after attending Boston’s famed Berklee College of Music, she began writing a song a day and posting them online. She was signed to Roc Nation on day No. 302. • She has written songs for major artists like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kanye West, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and Jennifer Lopez. One of her most notable co-writes is “FourFiveSeconds”, the 2015 hit by Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney. • Released in 2020, the seven-song Sis is about female empowerment and being in love.
