In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I saw James Brown at the age of 9 at the Count Basie Theatre, I didn't quite know what hit me. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Björk, Homogenic Caroline Polachek, Desire, I Want to Turn Into You Lucinda Williams, Car Wheels On a Gravel Road The first time I heard each of these albums, I felt the feeling of joy and overcoming, like the moment of being able to have a conversation with someone a new language. Tell us why you chose this song. “Bad Romance” This cover of the iconic dance hit represents exactly what I love about music, collaboration and the shared influence of an artist. I got to collaborate with Teen Idle and we reimagined the structure to make it completely our own Americana version. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing to my hero, Tom Morello and shaking his hand after a Teen Idle gig in Asbury Park, NJ. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There's always more to wish and dream like certain stages, venues or cities; I want to do all of that but at the end of the day I just want to reach the person who needs to hear my songs. It's the pursuit of writing each song better than my last.
