About Faun
With their fusion of pagan folk, medieval music, and darkwave, Germany's Faun have elevated their music from niche to mainstream, consistently charting in the Top Ten and garnering a large international following. What's more, they've done so using ancient instruments like nyckelharpa, bagpipes, and hurdy-gurdy while singing in multiple languages from their native German to Greek, Latin, and English. After debuting in the early-2000s, Faun spent their first decade slowly ascending to public notice, finally breaking out with 2013's Von den Elben. A string of hit albums followed including 2016's Midgard and 2022's independently-released Pagan, which reached number three in Germany. The witchcraft and magic-themed Hex arrived in 2025.
