Skream is one of dubstep’s founding figures and most recognizable names. His 2005 single “Midnight Request Line” helped introduce the South London underground style’s cavernous basslines to the rest of the world, while his 2009 remix of La Roux’s “In for the Kill” was a key salvo in the genre’s crossover into pop and EDM. But the electronic music producer has remained too curious to rest on his laurels, evolving into a dance all-rounder, equally capable of retro synth-pop (2019’s “Song for Olivia”), piano-house anthems (2019’s “Ectogazm”), and steely techno (2021’s “Doolally”).
