Kwesi Sey, aka Kwes., is a musician from London whose output drifts from psychedelic avant-pop songs to dreamier ambient compositions. Very active since the late 2000s as a producer, engineer, remixer, and all-around collaborator, he has worked with Mica Levi, Bobby Womack, Solange, and Tirzah, among dozens of other artists. On his own, he has recorded extensively for the Warp label, releasing a handful of EPs, the full-length Ilp. (2013), the soundtrack for the romantic comedy-drama Rye Lane (2023), and Kinds (2026), a meditative set written after the birth of his daughter.
