SOJA

Virginia-based band SOJA (Soldiers of Jah Army) has been crafting modern reggae music since the founding members first jammed together in high school, back in 1997. ∙ Get Wiser, SOJA’s second album, has remained in the Top 100 of the iTunes Store’s Reggae Top Albums chart since its 2006 release. ∙ The band signed with Dave Matthews’ label, ATO Records, in 2011 and recorded their 2017 album, Poetry in Motion, at his Haunted House Studios in Virginia. ∙ Between 2012 and 2017, SOJA released three studio LPs and a live recording, all of which topped the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. ∙ Amid the Noise and Haste, the group’s sixth studio album, reached the Top 20 on the Billboard 200 chart and earned a Best Reggae Album Grammy Award nomination in 2014. ∙ SOJA has collaborated with other internationally minded artists, including Damian Marley (2014’s “Your Song”) and Michael Franti & Nahko (2014’s “I Believe”).
