Yannis & The Yaw

Greek-born musician and Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis uses the Yannis & the Yaw alias to move into collaborative solo work during the mid-2010s, having landed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work alongside Afrobeat legend Tony Allen on a set of new songs in 2016. After Allen's passing in April 2020, Philippakis completed the project in tribute to the late musician, which was issued as Lagos Paris London in 2024.
