Enigmatic bedroom producer wifiskeleton was a mysterious and mercurial artist, one who wandered naturally between genre, personas, and production styles. His songs; part guitar-driven alt pop, part post-Soundcloud rap, part overblown digital hyperpop, often carried extremely depressive themes of death, despair, self-harm, and other joyless topics. Wifiskeleton released new music prolifically, but he would also sometimes remove large portions of his back catalog from streaming platforms without notice. Shortly before his death in 2025, wifiskeleton broke into the mainstream, with his song “Nope your too late I already died” from his 2024 album suburban daredevil cracking the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
