Jack & Jack

Long-time pals Jack & Jack—Jack Gilinsky and Jack Johnson—parlayed their social-media notoriety into becoming a successful pop-rap group. In 2007, they created the YouTube channel MotherFalconQuagmire that featured satires and parodies of popular songs. Six years later, they went viral on Vine, encouraging them to create their own music, like “Indoor Recess”. Their first official track, “Distance”, dropped in 2014, leading to later collaborations with Shawn Mendes and Steve Aoki. The next year they released their debut EP, Calibraska, which reached the Top 20 on the Billboard 200 chart. Their second EP, Gone, released under Island Records, followed in 2017, along with their first full-length A Good Friend Is Nice in 2019. Announcing a hiatus in 2020, both artists focused on their solo careers for a time, but reunited in 2022, continuing their renewed partnership with the electronically infused Home (2024) and the feel-good folky-pop of 2025’s “Our Song”.
