In the ever-evolving landscape of avant-pop, FKA twigs stands as a true original, eager to dismantle the barriers between performance art, experimental music and visual storytelling, and to challenge ideas around genre and form. Here, on her first Apple Music radio show, she continues her artistic mission with a series of carefully crafted DJ mixes featuring artists who inspired her 2025 album EUSEXUA, including techno heavyweight Dr. Rubinstein, queer rave icon LSDXOXO, underground experimentalist Eartheater and more. More than anything, the show is a rare inside look at twigs’ creative process. “Eusexua is a world,” she says. “I wanted to give fans a peek behind the curtain at my inspiration. By [showing them] the community and energy that’s been created around this project, hopefully they’ll understand where I’m coming from, my message. This is really my family.”
