Beast Coast is a Brooklyn hip-hop supergroup featuring Joey Bada$$’s Pro Era crew, Flatbush Zombies and The Underachievers. • Flatbush Zombies and The Underachievers hail from the Flatbush neighbourhood Brooklyn, while Pro Era’s members come from Bed-Stuy and Mill Basin. • Shortly after Beast Coast formed in 2012, Pro Era co-founder Capital Steez committed suicide. He was only 19. • The three crews came together for a tour in 2013 but returned to focusing on their respective careers in the years that followed. • Beast Coast finally released their cypher-heavy debut album, Escape From New York, in 2019.
