Buffalo Springfield had already disbanded when their third and final album was released, and never do all five members appear on the same song here. No surprise then that Last Time Around is stylistically diverse, though it practically glows with memorable songs. Alongside Neil Young's pretty, poignant "I Am a Child" and Stephen Stills' guitar-powered "Questions", country flavours seep through in bassist/producer Jim Messina’s rightly retro shimmy "Carefree Country Day" and Richie Furay’s swaying, soulful “Kind Woman”.
