About The S.E.T.
Baltimore hardcore supergroup the S.E.T. peddle a chugging, chunky, old-school sound influenced by classic, metallic "tough guy" and "beatdown" styles, with explicitly political lyrics. The band was formed early in 2024 when bassist Che Figueroa (founder of Flatspot Records), guitarist Brady Ebert (ex-Turnstile), and drummer Ryan Fauver (ex-End It), got together to jam. They discovered lyricist/vocalist Tim, who had no previous professional musical experience, at Baltimore's Disturbin' the Peace Festival. The band made their live debut in September 2025 at Baltimore venue Zen West, and their debut EP, Self-Evident Truth, was released by Flatspot in March 2026. Ironically, Ebert was dismissed from the band even before the EP was released, due to inflammatory social media posts.
