Flemish trio K3 are a successful pop outfit known for their buoyant, teen- and kids-oriented sound. The group broke through with their 1999 single "Heyah Mama," spending 30 weeks atop the national charts and achieving gold record status. It also paved the way for their debut album, 1999's Parels, which went gold in presales alone, and 2000's Alle Kleuren, which achieved even more impressive sales. A merchandising frenzy ensued, and 2001's Tele-Romeo album and title-track hit single immediately went double platinum. K3's steady rise to international stardom continued with Kuma He, which landed on Billboard's European Top 100. Their 2015 album 10,000 Luchtballonnen topped the Belgian charts, and despite lineup changes, K3 have remained a pop phenomenon, releasing Top Ten albums like 2021's Waterval and 2023's Vleugels, and starring in their own film and TV projects.
