David Orlowsky

The founder and a longtime member of the klezmer-oriented David Orlowsky Trio, clarinetist David Orlowsky has also played classical repertory of various kinds. When he was just 16, he founded the David Orlowsky Trio with guitarist Jens-Uwe Popp and double bassist Florian Dohrmann. Three of Orlowsky's won Germany's ECHO Klassik awards in the Classical Without Borders category. Orlowsky was signed to Warner Classics as a solo artist and, with lutenist David Bergmüller, he released the 2022 album Alter Ego, featuring works by Dowland, Purcell, and others, as well as the duo's original compositions.
