Great application, only wish there was a way to hide some chats from the main chat file...I used to use the archive to hide some chats but, the problem was that every time I received a notification from the archived chat, the chat would automatically move from the archive to the main chat. I see now that that has been worked on (archived chat are staying in archive even after receiving a notification👍👍👍👍👍) but, the problem is that the archive file is readily visible from the main dashboard 👎👎👎 as compared to the previous version where it was hidden , you had to swipe down to unhide it before selecting it.... #iOS

Overall, this app is quite effective when it comes to its core business. However, I do not like that the ARCHIVED folder stays on top of the chats and keeps notifying you how many unopened messages are in it. The whole reason for me archiving chats is that I do NOT want to think about them, so, therefore, I do NOT want to be continually reminded of their existence. It’d be better if the archived folder stayed at the bottom of the chats, where it was when the feature was first introduced. Furthermore, I do NOT like how the app constantly changes features and then takes them away the next day. Example: My status section under the Updates tab was a row of circles, then it became two rows of rectangles, and now it’s back to being one row of circles. I wasn’t asked if I wanted the change in the first place (which I really didn’t mind ‘cause I figured abrupt changes that don’t need my approval might be included in their Ts & Cs), and before I had the chance to get used to it, the status section reverted to circles. It’s a bit annoying.
Application needs chat reading improvements

I've been using WhatsApp for several years, and I think there's room for improvement. Specifically, when I lock my phone, the app doesn't return me to where I left off – it takes me back to the home screen instead of the chat I was in. Ideally, it should resume where I left off.Another issue is in the channel section. If I'm reading a long update and a new message comes in, it jumps to the bottom of the chat. I have to scroll back up to where I was, which is frustrating, especially if multiple new messages come in. It'd be great if the app could remember my position and let me continue reading without disruption.These are areas that need improvement, and it's been bothering me for a while. Hope WhatsApp can work on these features to make the experience smoother 🙏
Frequent Account Flags – Needs Fixing

WhatsApp has been a great app, helping people stay connected worldwide. However, the biggest challenge I’ve faced is that the system keeps flagging certain phones. I’m not sure what criteria are used to flag or ban users, but I’ve been flagged three times and had to wait over 10 hours for my account to be restored each time, despite doing nothing wrong. After the third ban, I noticed that whenever I tried to chat with Meta AI—mainly to practice German—WhatsApp would automatically flag and ban my phone. I’ve since archived Meta AI, and it’s been three months without a ban. I’ve also heard of users being permanently banned, even when using the official app. In my case, I’m using an iOS device, so there’s no way I could have installed a modified version. I hope you can address this issue.
• The settings tab is now a profile tab, where you can manage your account, control your identity, and express yourself
• Channel admins can now more easily invite contacts to follow their channel directly from the channel chat thread
