Yes there are some free features but the “real” features requires subscription. I remember using these features for FREE back then. Everything is pay to use. I deleted it instantly. Literally every click is a prompt to give them money and it’s quite an annoying experience. I feel like I’m constantly scavenging around the app to find what free features are available…

Dodgy Billing Practices = 0 out of 5

Watch out for the dodgy billing practices of this company as they automatically select the annual subscription option after 3 days of having the app and hit your account hard. Kiss that hard earned cash goodbye. 💸💸💸 Instead of automatically billing, it would be more civil to have a button for people to actually click and buy it if they would like to. I forgot to delete the app after the 3 day period because I was busy and have bigger things to worry about and got billed a RIDICULOUS amount of money for the annual subscription. I hate it when apps do this. It shows you are just out to make a quick buck instead of thinking about the longevity of your app and your users. Poor business strategy and it will hurt you guys in the long run. And no I don’t want to send you an email if I have any more questions. This is a review and my review of FaceTune is DODGY! Apple should not let this happen. And yes, I will be asking Apple for a refund. Daylight robbery and you guys should be ashamed.

Firstly, thank you for reaching out and your review. Yes, Facetune 2 is totally free to download with tons of tools available for free. There is also an option to purchase VIP tools as well and the packages and prices are listed within the app. Again, you will only be charged if you choose a VIP package. If you choose a trial or subscription, the app states that there is an automatic renewal upon subscribing, however, this can be canceled in the Settings app in order to stop renewal (deleting the app will not stop the charges). If this wasn't clear, I would be happy to pass along your feedback. In addition, our customer support is available for you at any time by emailing facetune2.support@lightricks.com just in case you change your mind. You can also reach out to Apple Support if you would like to request a refund. After that, you can use the free tools in the free version of the app. Let me know if we can assist you further.
Ridiculous prices & unfair billing

I was keen to use this app, but it only really allows you to use the ‘real’ features if you agree to a subscription, after which it only gives you a 3 day trial. What I didn’t like was that it automatically chose the super expensive yearly subscription option, and after forgetting to cancel the subscription and receiving no reminder or asking if I wanted to keep the app & pay, 3 days later I see myself with an exceptionally huge amount of money out of my account. I would’ve at least been okay with paying for the monthly subscription, which I never even had the option to choose. I am now having to explain myself and fight for a refund. 💔☹️Very upsetting and disappointing. Please at least give app-users a chance to decide if they actually would like to keep the app & start paying after the 3 day trial.

While Facetune 2 is free to download, please note that trials and subscriptions do automatically renew unless canceled. You can cancel a subscription in the Settings app on your device. Nonetheless, if a VIP package was purchased unintentionally, you can contact Apple Support to request a refund. Our team is also available to further assist you at facetune2.support@lightricks.com.

I don't know what to do. I’m not working at the moment and needed this app for one thing literally only one and will never use it again since I don’t edit my photos.Needed to do something for a small business I was starting but my toddler got a hold of my phone before I could delete the app(thought I did).So, I woke up to them taking money I need to pay actual bills out of my account. 90 80 dollars is a lot when unemployed. Even thinking of selling my stupid phone so yes Idk guess I wanted to vent maybe the developer sees this and implements a longer trial or a monthly subscription.
