Can you name all the Marvel superheroes? Have you ever seen Star-Lord and Groot in adorable baby forms? In Marvel SNAP, you can build a card deck out of 200 different Marvel characters and collect the Variants of each to live out your superhero fantasy.

What we love: Marvel SNAP is fast-paced and easy to learn. Each six-turn match takes only a few minutes, but you can combine the skills in your deck to drum up the most Power. Each match takes place in three locations—some of them will limit the Energy Cost of your cards, while others will add a 1-Power card to each location, or even change the number of rounds you’ll play. Keep those fingertips ready and nimble, and take over two or more Locations to win the match.

Quick tip: You might not have access to many cards at the start, and location restrictions can affect which characters you can play. To give yourself some wiggle room, try including more lower Energy Cost cards. If you only have 4-Energy Cost or higher cards in a match where you can only play 3-Energy Cost or lower characters, then you’re in big trouble.

Meet the creator: The fun and strategic gameplay of Marvel SNAP comes from the start-up game studio Second Dinner. According to its chief development officer Ben Brode, who also served as game director for Hearthstone, the design team limited matches to no longer than five minutes, so players won’t have to sit around waiting for their opponents.
