APPS WE LOVE

Bring the Montessori Classroom Home

Hands-on math, literacy, and creative activities.

With beads to count, puzzles to piece together, virtual instruments to play, and notebooks to draw in, Montessori Preschool is full of fun ways to practice real-world skills.

What we love: How activities are brought to life in a digital environment. For example, when kids practice telling time, the sky changes to reflect the time of day shown on the clock. Even washing your hands (an activity in the Practical Life section) shows the dirt rinsing away as you scrub.

Trace letters with tractors and count numbers with spindles. Hands-on activities help make what kids learn stick.

Quick tip: Head to the For Parents section to set up profiles for multiple kids, see what your child’s been working on, or limit the amount of time your child can spend in the app.

Meet the creator: Cofounder Valérie Touze is a certified Montessori teacher. “One of our biggest challenges was adapting the physical Montessori materials to an app while preserving their authenticity and educational integrity,” she says.
