A good start

Anchorless is such a cool concept however, with the Vision Pro, I believe having an anchor would greatly improve the location. There is a little drift when moving the head side to side or up and down I placed an image onto the wall and put my finger on the subjects eye, and as I moved around, the eye was no longer where I placed my finger so the anchor I think is necessary. If it’s possible to anchor solely using the Vision Pro and create some thing as large as what you could do with mural maker, I think that is what would be incredibly valuable for this piece of tech.
Developer Response
We just made some huge updates that improve the tracking and updated the app to tilt to the position of the canvas automatically. The app works phenomenal for large artwork now. Unfortunately the way that anchors work in VisionPro it does not imrprove accuracy ay all so we temporarily abandoned that effort. Making giant drawings on walls, sidewalks, and on canvases is really good with these new updates. Reach out to info@davincieye.com I'd be happy to chat more about the updates.
Can’t recreate what I see in the advertisement

Once I import an image I am unable to interact with it or move it into a more ergonomic position. I am always loading images in at my feet and unable to reposition.

HI There, send me an email and I can help figure out what is going on. The app should work exactly like the video, they are screen recordings. When you open a new project, the image should float in front of you and lay on any vertical or horizontal surface that is in front of you until you tap. Once you tap you should be able to position the image on the surface more precisely as well as adjust the size and depth offset. Then you can press the check mark to confirm the position. From there you can adjust the opacity and draw. This is my email, we'll get back to you right away. info@davincieye.com.
Game changer! And so improved!

The new surface calibration tool solved the minor quibbles I had with earlier versions of the app. This app is an absolute game changer. I create my designs in Photoshop and illustrator, and place the images on a surface and trace over them. I’m presently using it to create four 24“ x 82“ tile murals— first by creating photo mock ups in situ, then tracing my designs onto the blank tiles themselves. This is the most real world functional app on my Vision Pro. Highly recommended!
Maybe it doesn’t work well in low light

I can place a photo on the wall then cancel that or go back and choose another photo. There is a check mark but no way to select it. Is that a paid feature? I don’t see any way to paint anything. No, I get that it is a tracing app. I wasn’t thinking of murals, and it wasn’t letting me put the image on a table. Perhaps too dark or Vision OS 1.1 beta? It works better now. Sorry for the confusion.
Developer Response
Hi there! I think there might be a little bit of confusion about what the app does. This app lets you trace artwork onto physical surfaces. So you are supposed to take a real pencil or paint brush and actually trace the picture you are seeing on the wall after you place it. The app is meant to be an aid for creating physical artwork, not digital artwork.
We're gearing up for Mural Season! Based on feedback from artists like you we've made some improvements and added new features. If you have any new features please reach out to us we usually respond right away. Here's what's new in this update:
- Improved UI/UX Fixes
- Supports PNGs
- Calibration tool not working sometimes fixed
- Added instructional videos
- Size Slider now has no limit
- Improved onboarding instruction flow
