I love the concept of this application. You can read as many books as you want rather than having to just buy certain books. I also like the sound quality of the books.I use a screen reader however. The buttons are not labels for screen readers, so it takes a little bit to figure out which buttons to what. Even that isn’t very hard, though. though. I love the concept of this application. So far my rating would be lower than a 1 if I could. The app plainly isn’t working for us. We get an error message nearly every time we click on a book to play, on the rare occasion that it lets us start listening to a book the book will stop playing a couple chapters in, they keep charging me the quarterly membership fee monthly, apparently reset another membership every time we delete and re-install the app as per one of the few FAQs that they have, they apparently have no customer service help as all you can do is leave a message on their Facebook or Twitter and once in a while they get back to you. The repeated overcharging is starting to border on theft since they won’t return messages, forcing me to go through my bank to dispute the charges. There is a great market for audiobooks, but this company isn’t ready to fill the niche.

The Premium plan advertises unlimited books which IS TOTALLY FALSE. I listen to a lot of books and am cut off after getting to a certain point (not sure what that point is). This is an unethical and illegal bait and switch advertising ploy and will be reported as such. I have cancelled my premium plan due to these false promises. After a certain number of books have been listened to I get these messages: You’re offline (which I’m not) or the book is unavailable (when it actually is). The fact that it’s taken A MONTH for someone to respond to my issue says volumes (pun intended) of how poorly this company is run. The last app version update was in fact a month ago so nothing has changed. I have the premium plan and the books I try to play have been unavailable. I’ve tried several titles and they all come up unavailable. The app is also crashing saying to ‘try again later’. Please fix these glitches and ensure that there is availability of books.

I have been using this app for a few years now and it was exactly what I wanted. A subscription service for audiobooks. I don’t want to buy the book, I just want to rent it and then move on! AnyPlay was great for that and it has a pretty good selection of books. But for the past 6 months or so, I have had CONTINUAL issues with my audiobook glitching. My books will start over just from the beginning after closing out the app and I can’t skip ahead from the table of contents bc it just starts back at chapter one over and over again. I’ve tried deleting the app and re-downloading it. I’ve tried contacting customer service and while they will get back to me, the issues just continue to occur EVERY TIME. Now it’s been freezing on me. I’ve unfortunately had to unsubscribed because I’m not going to pay for a service that I can’t use. Hopefully these glitches will be resolved.
