Take control of a Bergson – maybe swordsman father John or his fireball-flinging daughter, Lucy – and tackle procedurally generated caverns packed with monsters and mysteries. Between escapades, visit Uncle Ben’s workshop to upgrade shared stats or give pets treats to activate buffs. The family that slays together, stays together!

What we love: The amazing atmosphere. Lush pixel art brings life to both the Bergsons’ eclectic house and the sprawling dungeons they’ve sworn to conquer. High-quality narration adds epic flair – and plenty of humour – to each underground foray.

Quick tip: Expert archer Linda’s explosive Crescendo ability fires a hail of arrows at the nearest enemies – even if they’re on the other side of a cavern wall! It may not be sporting to slay spider queens while safely behind cover, but it sure is effective.
