Frames for new computers!

Added detection of the new 2026 devices.

Improvements: * Dragging the preview image out into another app should now always use the correct file name. * Sharing after changing the name of the image was not working. * Window controls no longer auto-hide on iPad. * Added the "Format" menu to the iPad menu bar. * Added the "Customize Toolbar..." option to the iPad menu bar. * Fixed the (...) button on the main screen on iPad showing an internal label instead of "Add Screenshots".

NEW * Bonus backgrounds for each of the new iPhone colours, exclusive to owners of the new devices! FIXES * A missing string for "fit" mode with auto-clear enabled was found. * The ugly "Save new name" button on the "add frame" screen was improved. * The Share button was missing in the share extension, turns out it was down the back of the sofa. * The "+" import button in the bottom center of the editing view on older iOS versions was unable to find its caption text. We pointed it in the right direction. * Shortcuts intents were not showing any Output Size options because something changed unexpectedly.

What's New: * The app has been fully vitrified! * We moved around some things on the main screen to give you a larger preview of your image and make the most common tasks easier. * The backgrounds have now been grouped so you can scroll less to find the one you want. * Some new background styles have been added to the Metal, Textures and Colourful groups. Improvements: * Tapping the new “+” button while working on an image will show you all the options to import a new screenshot. * A bug that slowed down the first appearance of the style panel has been fixed. * Fixed a bug where having the title field in focus and removing the current image would sometimes crash. * Background groups now show their name when in their stacked representation. * The current output size is now shown when changing output modes. 
* Eliminated a bug where an input image that has exactly the same aspect ratio as the current output mode/size would render incorrectly.

WHAT’S NEW * Pride month may be over but we have now made all the LGBTQ+ and “solidarity” and backgrounds free to use without a watermark, forever! FIXED * Shortcuts intents used with a clear background would appear to use a white background. Really they were exporting as JPEG instead of PNG, which had the same effect. Doh! * Padding would incorrectly reset to “Small” whenever importing a new image in Fit mode with a clear background. * We’d regenerate background thumbnails too often. Things should be a bit faster now!

BUG FIXES * Fix the missing button background on the top right import button.

Bug fixes! * Framing was not working on screenshots taken on devices using a non-default Display Zoom setting. Sorry about that! * Custom and Fixed Size output sizes could sometimes result in hairline cracks between the screenshot and frame where the background would bleed through. * Occasionally exporting would export an old version of the image.

What's New: * Stripes! Lots of new stripey backgrounds with rotation, colour and blur tweaks. * LGBTQ+ flag backgrounds in time for Pride Month so we can all show our support. * Solidarity backgrounds to signify your support for peace. * New Custom Size output mode for exporting to fixed custom width and height (saved as presets for reuse). * New Fixed Width option for regular output modes. Export to a fixed pixel width and the height will be calculated automatically based on your style settings. * Background style swatches now show their default appearance in a badge if adjustments are now being applied. Tip: tap it again to reset to the default state! * Faster UI updates when style settings change. * The "Frame Screenshots with Tweaked Background" App Intent now supports adjusting angle and blur on backgrounds that support this. Improvements: * Changed the Fit mode icon to something more suitable, and all output mode changes now show a message to make it clear what mode you are in. * Scroll positions of selected background and tweak thumbnails behave better. * Fixed a bug on iPad where the overflow toolbar button would have no description for the Add Screenshots submenu. * Fixed a bug where the background thumbnail might not show the correct adjusted version of the background. * Fixed a bug where moving through backgrounds using the keyboard shortcut would crash at the end of the list. * Fixed a bug where Shortcuts actions would always output in PNG format. * Fixed a bug where it might be impossible to have no padding on an output in Fit mode. * Fixed a bug where dragging the image out of the app might not do anything.

What's New: * Improved handling of the automatic background change to clear when selecting Fit Frame mode. This is now an option that is off by default for new users, and on by default for existing users and a tip explains this. * Added tips to explain some features. * Added recognition of new device models: iPhone 16e, iPad Air M3 and iPad A16. Although they don't have specific frames they fit into existing frames for the previous generation. Bugs fixed: * Shadows of frameless images with an alpha channel were upside down. * Hovering over the output size button showed a black background on iPad. * There was an occasional crash when the image had been renamed.

What's New: * Support for using images that don't fit any frame. * Support for choosing "no frame" even if your screenshot fits a frame. * Added a 33% output scale option. * Better handling of devices for which we have no frames. * Improved handling of input images with transparent areas. * Softer shadows when using a clear background. Bugs fixed: * Background tweak thumbnails now animate changes better. * Fix issues with renaming the image before exporting it. * Improved "new screenshot" detection that prevents spamming you with previously seen screenshots.

What's New: * More keyboard shortcuts for quickly switching to important background styles, next/previous background style and turning the light on and off. Bugs fixed: * Keyboard shortcuts on iPad for Save & Copy now work. * The "normal" dot indicator on background tweaks has better contrast now. * Fix output scale being stuck at 100% on export. * Save to Photos now saves PNG if possible. * Share button now shares PNG if possible. * Keyboard shortcut for Share now shows share sheet better. * When Share button is the default export action, the share sheet now shows the preview thumbnail. * Added the new export options to the preview image's context menu.

New & improved: * Solid colour backgrounds with custom colour support. * Background Tweaks allow you to alter the hue, saturation and brightness of backgrounds. * Default Export Action setting and long-press on export for more options (Save to Photos, Save to Files, Copy and Share). * New configurable export toolbar buttons on iPadOS. * Frame Memory remembers the last frame variant you chose for next time you frame the same kind of screenshot. * New Shortcuts actions for framing with a solid colour or applying background tweaks. Bugs fixed: * White edges no long appear when preview area resizes. * Edges of background swatches look better.

New & improved: * Added a dark mode icon for the default app icon style. Alternative app icons do not currently support dark mode. * The contrast of the main UI background was insufficient when the accessibility “Increase Contrast” setting is enabled. * Improved the contrast of the lighting selector and added the device icon now matches the screenshot aspect ratio. Bugs fixed: * Shadows were too dark when framing using Shortcuts or the Share Extension. * Shortcuts Actions don’t recognise your purchase unless the app was also running. * The non-Pro watermark would render at the wrong size if output scale wass not 100%. * The background style names were not showing in the UI.

Fixed a bug where playdate screenshots would not be recognised.

New & improved: * Added a frame we made for the M3 MacBook Air 15". * Some Mac screenshots such as M2 MacBook Air 13" would not recognise that a frame was available. * The Nintendo Switch bonus backgrounds have been updated with brighter versions. Bugs fixed: * The app would crash if you try to change to a custom App Icon. * Your Pro purchase status was not always detected before a Shortcut action would run, resulting in the watermark being added for paid users. * There was an occasional crash when recovering a Share session in the app if the app was not already running. * Background swatches did not not always load in the Share Extension. * The Share Extension should be a bit less crashy, and have no more weird layout/render issues. * Responsiveness when rotating your actual device or showing the inspector on iPad is improved. * The zoom scale button now renders correctly on iPhone in landscape orientation. Known issues: * The rendered shadows are too dark in Share Extension & Shortcuts * Share extension background swatches may still fail to load the first time.

New & improved: * A new “Frame last screenshot” Control Widget * New background option using the current artwork in Apple Music. * Added 36 new iPhone frames for all the new devices. * Added 31 new Apple Watch and Ultra 2 frames for all the new devices. * Added frames for framing Nintendo Switch screenshots. * Added a frame for framing playdate screenshots. * Bonus backgrounds for specific frames. * Shadow rendering is much improved for frames of all kinds, with consistent sizing across output styles. * Improved “no matching frame” page Bugs fixed: * Some screenshots could leave a hairline gap in custom frames where the final output has an odd pixel height. * Custom frames with no solid pixels at the edges will now detect their content area correctly. * The “Frame added” screen is now centered properly again. * The frame variant selector was not always be enabled when it should be.

Lots of post-launch improvements! Thank you for everybody who contacted us about these bugs. We love your feedback. Fixes: * iPhone 12/iPhone 12 Mini screenshots would not be detected correctly. * The Export as JPEG option just didn’t work, for complicated reasons. Oops. * The resolution selector will now display better at large dynamic type sizes. * The frame variant selector will no longer show “None” multiple times if you have multiple custom frames for the same image content size. * The frame variant selector would not always update correctly when changing variant. * The About screen content layout has been fixed for large dynamic type sizes and improved generally. Improvements: * New event backgrounds. * Added the missing frame from iPhone 12 Mini. * Added more alternative Mac display resolutions for the supported Mac frames (M2 Macbook Air, iMacs, and M1/M3 Macbook Pro 14”/16”) * Improved frame auto-selection logic — iPhone 13 Mini and 12 Mini should auto-detect correctly now when running on those devices. * The Share Extension will now prompt immediately to continue in-app instead, in the case where the previous attempt to share failed. * Added a chequerboard background to the Frames list detail UI in Settings. * The frame variant selector now sorts variants alphabetically.

We fixed a bug where the text on the "Thank You" page after purchasing was not correct.
