Running around in circles can actually be super-productive – if you’re the star of Loop Hero! You’re on an endlessly looping road in this roguelike RPG, creating the world itself as you walk. Build forests and mountains to make your warrior faster and stronger. Erect vampire mansions and spider cocoons to spawn monsters to fight. Completing loops ratchets up the danger... and the rewards.

What we love: Discovering cool card combos. Placing mountains in a three-by-three grid forms a towering peak that grants a massive health boost. Dropping a river next to a battlefield spawns a new treasure chest (and a fearsome siren guarding it) on every loop. Your world is filled with secrets!

Quick tip: Too weak for a big battle? Clear the road of baddies with the Oblivion card. Or use it to wipe out the mysterious – and enemy-spouting – green village that appears when you have lots of forest tiles on the map.

Meet the creator: Please, Don’t Touch Anything developer Four Quarters Team originally crafted a stripped-down version of Loop Hero for a game jam. They found the idea so intriguing that they expanded it into a full-blown experience, adding a deeper story and dozens of new features.
