This app is a nightmare. I am unable to select a full block text cause it freezes and the only way to unfreeze is to exit and retry. Also, frequently when I try to share something it wrongly provide a previous article link.
Developer Response Hi Cleo, sorry you’re running into this; freezes and incorrect links are definitely not expected. Could you contact us at mobile-support+jetpackapp@automattic.com with your device, OS, app version, and steps to reproduce? We’d like to investigate and help fix this. Thanks!

Nothing special, just replacing WordPress app for the same stats I was looking for there.
Developer Response Hi! Stats are being removed from the WordPress app along with other Jetpack-powered features. If you're interested in learning more about the change, you may find the following helpful: https://wordpress.com/blog/2023/02/15/switch-to-the-new-jetpack-mobile-app/

112% of our team loved the big changes we made to the Stats section. (Some people may have voted twice; we can’t say for sure.)
- There’s a new Ads tab where you can see important WordAds data like the number of ads served and revenue earned.
- We added a UTM tab so you can see source and medium for your site traffic. There’s also a “Devices” view that shows you which devices your visitors used.
- When you select “Today” or another daily period in the Post Stats screen, you’ll see “Last 7 days” instead of hourly data that doesn’t exist. We can’t predict the future just yet.
- We fixed some visual issues with charts and made design improvements throughout the Stats section.
We also made some other general fixes and improvements to the app.
- Post tags are now displayed in the original order you added them to the feed.
- We solved a caching issue on the Insights screen that would display a blank Posting Activity area. Now you can always see what you’ve been up to.
- We fixed a bug in Jetpack notifications that would sometimes display the wrong avatar.
- We made small visual improvements on the Activity Logs screen, like titles, icons, and colors.
We added Custom Post Types as an experimental feature. Test it out and let us know what you think. #science
One last thing: if your site is authenticated with an application password, you don’t need to have XML-RPC enabled. The downside is that only limited features are available. Once enabled, you can get those features back.

Our AI support feature, WordPress Intelligence, is now available in more locales and languages. Everyone’s favorite helper just got a whole lot handier.
We improved the Stats section by roughly 83%.
- The Locations card lets you filter data by country, region, and city. This data is consistent with Jetpack’s web version.
- “External Links” is now “Clicks,” making it consistent with the web version. We fixed a bug where this area sometimes displayed incorrectly.
- You can turn off automatic data comparison and save that setting for future app usage. We fixed an issue where weekly data for the comparison period didn’t always display correctly.
- Long-pressing on a bar chart will show you more details. Vertical scrolling is also fixed.
- You can view bar graph and line chart data grouped by days, weeks, months, and years.
- Top List items are sorted by name and ordered properly.
We made lots of changes to the Reader, too.
- There’s a new “Freshly Pressed” tab on the Discover screen. We also changed the “Recommended” tab to “For You.”
- There’s only one Search option in the main sidebar.
- The “Read More” view works the same, no matter where you tap it, and you can now see the whole excerpt. So much more to explore.
- The Comments section lets you reply and like comments directly below the article. There’s a new “Leave Comment” button under articles for faster commenting.
- You can see two comments by default instead of just one, and very long comments can be collapsed for easier reading.
- We made a few visual issues with the Comments section, too. Comments now have the correct height, the “View All Comments” button stands out more, and the “Send” button is styled properly.
- You can read posts in your preferred language with in-app translation support.
- Multiple spaces in site titles are collapsed into one for easier reading and display.
We made a technical update that reduces the size of your app by about 6 MB. What will you do with all that newfound space?
It’s easier to find, see, and change the visibility settings of existing posts. The “Done” button also won’t disappear when you set the password while publishing a password-protected post.
Looking good: we updated shortcut icons and illustrations to better match the rest of the app, as well as fit better with your device.
We fixed an issue so post previews now work properly for certain sites using Business and Commerce plans.
When you add a new self-hosted site, you’ll be asked for your app password to authenticate. Keep it secret. Keep it safe.

Heads up, content creators—we’ve been hard at work making some big changes to the Post Settings screen.
- We added a “Status” field that helps you quickly move posts between draft, pending, private, scheduled, and published states.
- We brought back the “Publish Date” area for draft and pending posts. That way you can pick a publish date ahead of time without officially scheduling the post.
- The password field uses a different font (Menlo, if you’re interested) so it’s easier to read similar-looking characters.
- Give your followers the VIP treatment by setting post access levels for all subscribers, paid subscribers, and the general public.
- Toggle post comments and pingbacks on or off using the “Discussion” settings.
While we were at it, we made several other helpful updates in various areas of the app.
- On the “Publishing” screen, you can toggle “Email to Subscribers” to automatically notify your subscribers when a post is published. Start the presses.
- The slug editor has a permalink preview to show what a post’s final URL will look like.
- We added “Taxonomies” to Site Settings so you can manage content groups at the site level.
- Thanks to some design fixes in the “Categories” picker, it’s more obvious that you can pick multiple categories for a post.
- File sizes are now visible in the Site Media Details area. No more guesswork.
More of a reader than a publisher? Don’t worry, we made changes in the Reader, too.
- When related post titles are overly long, you’ll see a shorter, truncated version instead.
- Post tiles can now have three lines of text instead of just two, giving you 50% more content goodness.
- Articles have slightly wider horizontal margins.
- We squashed several bugs that affected the way articles load.

You can now create an excerpt, a post summary, and auto-generated tags for your posts using Apple Intelligence. It’s also easier to pick your tags in Post Settings. Now that’s smart.
Speaking of Stats, there are several new improvements in this area of the app.
- We added a Today card to the New Stats screen.
- Your homepage now appears in the list of top pages.
- Your top 10 and 50 items now have their own special section. A place for everything, and everything in its place.
- Your top pages show up properly when you have a large number of items.
- The New Stats layout changes to fit different screen sizes. Even really, really big ones.
- The screen will remember your preferred settings when you pick a custom date range.
- The Traffic tab lets you pull down to refresh the screen.
We also made a few visual fixes for iOS in areas like the site creation flow, the media selection screen, and the Stats screen. And while we were at it, we squashed several bugs, too.
- We fixed a rare crash that sometimes appears in Stats and Subscribers. (But not anymore.)
- Article views look as they should in the Reader when certain themes are enabled.
- Reader articles render properly on devices with Display Zoom enabled.
- The “Add Media” button stays visible in the media library. No more disappearing act.
- You can search in Reader Subscriptions without freezing the app.
- The toolbar in Reader articles no longer disappears and reappears from time to time. Now you see it, now you… still see it, we guess.

- We've added mentions to the experimental editor—tag your collaborators and watch the magic happen.
- iPad Split View now behaves beautifully in portrait mode. No more awkward layouts.
26.2 08/09/2025
We rebuilt Stats from the ground up, and it's absolutely stunning. This new experience features buttery-smooth 120fps animations, interactive charts you can tap and explore, hourly data views, and a completely customizable dashboard. You can rearrange everything, export your data, and even see your post analytics with email campaign metrics. It feels incredible to use—we keep opening it just to watch those beautiful animations. (Look for "Try New Stats" when you open Stats, or enable it anytime in Me > App Settings > Experimental Features.)
We also made improvements to how you manage your content. You'll find a completely redesigned Post Settings screen that makes configuring your posts smoother and more intuitive, plus better VideoPress integration and improved authentication for private sites in our experimental editor.
Finally, we squashed several bugs and made things more reliable.
- The app won't hang anymore when you open your Posts or Pages. (We know how frustrating that was.)
- We fixed a crash that happened when saving certain editor settings.
- Those annoying error popups on your dashboard? Gone.
- Application passwords now work more smoothly behind the scenes, and the Jetpack connection flow is more reliable.

We added a new Subscribers screen that shows all of your email and Reader subscribers. Now you know who’s reading (and loving) your content.
We made improvements to the TimeZone Picker so you’ll see more accurate suggestions for your local timezone.
We added a search feature to the Jetpack activity list, complete with dates and users for each activity. In this same area, you can also see when your downloadable backup expires. Knowledge is power.
We gave a small facelift to the Post List, like streamlining labels, making images smaller and removing extra space, and moving loading indicators so they’re more visible.
Finally, we squashed a number of bugs.
- You’ll no longer see HTML encoded characters on various screens, so all your ampersands look exactly as they should. Rock on.
- The “Restore” and “Download Backup” flows don’t cover the navigation bar anymore.
- Domains are now correctly sorted on the Domain Search screen. Finding what you’re looking for is easier than ever.
- We fixed a tag where “WordPress” was incorrectly capitalized in the Reader. (That one was keeping us awake at night.)
26.0 17/07/2025
We made some small visual changes on the Comment Details screen. You’ll now see this screen when you view a comment from your Notifications.
We added a banner to the Me tab, which asks new users to verify their email. Once you do, you’ll have full access to everything in the app. The possibilities are endless.
You’ll find that the currently selected site is always visible in the sidebar, no matter what. Hide-and-seek is over.
We also squashed several bugs.
- YouTube video embeds now show up properly in comments.
- You can now see a preview of unedited draft pages created from templates.
- You won’t see deleted sites in your app anymore. So long, farewell.
- The app syncs blogs properly after they’ve launched.
- The Stats screen shows accurate numbers for visitors and views.
- If you’re using an iPad, the app won’t crash after you delete the last site attached to your account. (It’ll still look pretty empty, though. Maybe consider making a new site?)

1. We've updated the UI for iPadOS 18 – no more tab bar, everything is navigation-based, which should be a better use of the larger screen size.
2. Some iOS 18 improvements – a few color tweaks, some bugfixes, and most importantly – tintable icons!
3. We've been hard at work on an experimental new block editor. It's not ready for full-time use, but we'd love your feedback! Check it out in Me > App Settings > Experimental Features.
