I found a client outside of Upwork but they said that they manage everything through it so I had to install the app. I did but after a few stressful emails, they suddenly decided to suspend my account. Apparently, I have violated their Terms and Conditions by having more than one account. I sent them screenshots of the error message that I was getting when I tried logging in using the "2nd" email address that they were saying (error message says "This email address is not associated with an Upwork account) but they ignored that and kept on sending me responses that were obviously from a template. First time using this, definitely the last time, too. I suggest find a client who would pay you directly via bank transfer or a different way, not through this app.

I've tried working through this application and comply with all the necessary requirments but when I tried to withdraw it didnt work. i save up all the pay I have and withdraw it and they scamed me. I asked my client if they received refund and told me they havent receivedany . i sent almost 4k leads and was put to waise cause i was not paid. i was not able to withdraw the money my client paid. My leads was expose and now its useless. Please withdraw all your money once you receive it this app holds your account and suspend it if you wont withdraw it asap. with regards to the supports they reply so slow when you ask for an update of your suspended account. but if they ask you for something like id and verification they do reply quick. still waiting for an update to my account that they put on suspension.

Upwork is very disappointing, especially for beginners. The platform is all about bidding, and I spent around 2,000 pesos just to apply for jobs, but I got nothing in return. What made it worse is that I still had 20 days left on my subscription, but when I canceled the next month’s subscription, they automatically canceled my remaining 20 days as well. That feels unfair.Finding a job as a beginner is extremely hard. You compete with experienced freelancers, and without spending more money on bids, you barely get noticed. Overall, it feels like Upwork benefits more from freelancers spending money than actually helping them get work.Honestly, with how fast AI is growing, even VA jobs may not last long. I wouldn’t recommend this platform for beginners.

First time using upwork and Im upright disappointed. They deduct so much from freelancers plus wheb withdrawal becomes unsuccessful, they do not refund their fees. When asking help from their help center, takes too long and do not even read properly your concerns.I told them that I got failed withdrawals twice. First is with the bank I always used and already have multiple successful withdrawals with them (although the very first withdrawal also failed due to exceeding amount withdrawn. Did not even bother to include that before we could initiate request plus I just discovered the solution on my own through research). Then the second bank is my other bank account which also failed. Now all they said that maybe I have put wrong credentials. Like how come wrong when that same details were already saved and had multiple successful withdrawals already. They are not reading. They are like bots. Very disappointing and I think I will never use upwork again.I encourage you all to dont trust them. Better apply jobs that do not use upwork for your earnings.
