HOW DOES IT WORK?
After you decide to begin your growth with Headway and download the app, you can start a free trial.
Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the free trial, you will be automatically charged a price indicated on the payment screen for a chosen subscription period. Don’t worry, though — in any case, you’ll receive a reminder from us that your free trial is about to end.
The Headway Premium subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (each week, month, 6 months, year, or otherwise, depending on the selected option) until you cancel. Canceling your subscription means the automatic renewal will be disabled. However, you will still have access to all your subscription features for the remaining time of your then-current period.
Note that deleting the app does not cancel your subscriptions.

Hard to cancel the free subscription

Great app if you want it! Hard to cancel after accepting a free subscription means i have had money taken from my account that i cant afford. Ive had to cancel my bankcard etc and still it happens. Cancelling via however you signed up is ridiculous… if you have a log in you should be able to cancel it! I cant even remember how I subscribed it was that long ago - please make it easier to cancel! Searching the internet for this information shows that it is a common complaintUpdate: have contacted support team via email - everything sorted and got replies within 24hours … i think if you approach with kindness despite your despair they are more than willing to assist with resolution. I cant fault their service so have upped the stars from 1 to 4 star review. Definitely redeemed

If you buy your subscription directly from the website (e.g., via an ad on social media), you can’t manage it via the App Store because it’s not associated with Apple. It can be managed via your account: https://headwayproduct.com/sign-in or via the app (Profile - Settings - Manage subscriptions). It’s not easy to find time to sit and read a book not to mention self development in a busy lifestyle. This app is probably the best compared to other competitors. The app has small test to tailor your own areas of interests and goals based on your preferences. The mascot of the app is super cute. It definitely lifts my mood when I open the app. The UI is easy to navigate to explore different features of the app. Each book has chapter summaries and a final summary. The summary is nicely done include key quotes in the chapters. The final summary also included key learning points. So I can compare with my own notes. I really like the feature that each book we have the option to read/listen and options to forward/backward the chapters when needed. I wish this app will include dark mode options. I do hope it will allow horizontal view on iPad in the future for comfort in near future. The app may not have as many books unlike its competitors. However, the quality of the books and summaries available are better presented. I would prefer quality over quantity. I have no worries more books will be available as time goes. 😉Keep it up team Headway!

Okay but could do better

Original one star review is below and this is an update after receiving a refund. The refund was received after leaving a negative review on Trustpilot. I’m grateful for the refund but it shouldn’t take a bad review for a company to be flexible in their approach (as other reputable businesses are, Apple particularly). I signed up for a discounted 3 month deal. I tried a few books and didn’t enjoy the summaries or narrators so used it only for 2-3 books during the first week. I do not remember reading that I would continue to be charged so when I received an email to let me know they had taken $80 from my account for another 3 months I sent an email requesting a refund, cancelled my subscription and deleted the app. I imagine they can see that it hasn’t been used, but they offer no flexibility and I was referred to Clause 7.8, which states no refunds. So I have lost $80, though have been told I can use the service for the next 3 months, which is not helpful given that I do not like it. I imagine they get quite a bit of income this way…
