You deserve a better internet.
Firefox is a fast, private web browser designed to protect you by default. Privacy is built in from the start, so you can focus on what matters instead of worrying about who’s watching.
Why people choose Firefox:
• Enhanced Tracking Protection – Blocks trackers by default to help stop companies from following you across the web.
• Private browsing mode – Browse without saving your history, searches, or cookies.
• Page summaries – Get the key points from long pages and move on faster.
• Built-in password manager – Generate strong passwords, save them securely, and autofill logins when you need them.
• Flexible search options – Choose your default search engine or switch search engines right from the search bar.
• Reader Mode – Remove ads and clutter from articles so you can focus on what you’re reading.
• Sync across devices – Pick up where you left off with synced tabs, bookmarks, and passwords when you sign in to your Mozilla account.
Private by default
Firefox is designed with privacy built in from the moment you start browsing. Enhanced Tracking Protection automatically blocks common background trackers, including social media trackers, crypto miners, and fingerprinters. When you want extra privacy, private browsing mode doesn’t save your history, searches, or cookies.
Focus on what matters
The web can be distracting. Firefox is designed to help you stay focused without making you manage everything yourself. Reader Mode clears clutter from articles, and picture-in-picture keeps videos visible while you multitask—without pulling focus from what you’re doing.
Browse your way
Customise Firefox to fit how you browse. Personalise your home screen with wallpapers and layout options, and choose your preferred search engine instead of being pushed into a single ecosystem.
You can move the search bar to the top or bottom of the screen for easier one-handed browsing. Sign in to your Mozilla account to sync tabs, bookmarks, passwords, and browsing history across devices, so switching feels seamless.
Built for people, not profit
Firefox was created in 2004 by Mozilla as a faster, more private, and more customisable alternative to other browsers. Today, Mozilla remains a non-profit and continues working to make the internet — and the time you spend on it — better.

Firefox was recommended to me some years ago as a healthy option to avoid data collection - which I was an uninformed subscriber to with the browser I was using at the time. Firefox offers everything I think I need and has been the browser of choice on all of my devices since. Thank you!
Used to be my #1 choice of browser. No more

Used Firefox for years but started looking elsewhere. Each new update seems to lose functionality. One example: Closing all / multiple tabs on iPad and phone really hard work now as so obscure to find the icon / link to do so. Other browsers make it much easier. The latest huge annoyance is, when I move from an open tab to look up or do something in another app or copy information from elsewhere to that page, when I click back on the active tab it jumps back to home page instead , with the page I was on minimised and lurking somewhere in a “ jump back in” list.It is VERY disconcerting when the page closes as I click back on it and I cannot find where to change this annoying setting.I DON’T want it to disappear and have to work out where it went to get back in. I just want to keep my workflow and get on with whatever I was doing. Like paste information into a text box or web form. It’s especially confusing if for example I had several tabs open from a site and they all look similar in the “ jump in” format so I get distracted having to find it then scroll to wherever I was .Sadly going back to Safari but will miss all the things that made Firefox top of the game. At least on the app. Web version may be different.

Hi! We are sorry to hear about the issues you have encountered in Firefox for iOS. I understand how you prefer not seeing a new tab opened when you launch Firefox. You can change this by going to Settings > Home Page > select "Last Tab". We do update the app to fix unresolved issues and add new features. We hope that you consider trying Firefox on your device again in the future.
Incognito tabs not saved

I’m often using incognito mode for sites I’m not wanting to have track me, and have several tabs open in this mode. When relaunching Firefox it would resume my Incognito mode & could continue using the open tabs as before. However, 2 updates ago this all changed. Now any open Incognito tabs are deleted & I cannot re-use them like I could before. Now I have to go back to each one in order to visit those sites again. Very frustrating. Please restore the original behaviour that was always occurring as I’m now tempted to use a different browser app that works how Firefox used to.

It’s ok but not awesome.

It works and I love the desktop version. But the mobile version needs some boost in features. Any apps for an iPhone should have swipe left and swipe right features and not only for backwards/forward. This should be customisable. Swipe left and right to cycle through the tabs or show menu. Also why is swipe down not refreshing the webpage?! This is basic functionality. Also when I open a new tab I don’t see my bookmarks under address bar and I have to click on the 3 lines, select bookmarks and then access bookmarks. This is highly inefficient. Bookmarks should show up right after you open a new tab. Renaming bookmarks is also not supported.
Behind-the-scenes updates to keep your browsing steady, smooth, and responsive.
