Highly recommend this app! Ive nearly purchased so many times and last night i decided to, doing my first work out this morning and im sweaty! After your workout you get to choose 3 options.. another workout, great and im happy with the workout or exhausted so you can carry on or stop also being able to choose the muscle groups to work on, really easy to use and informative during the workout! Even allows you to connect to a music source to play music in the background through the app. The reason why this app works is the fact that there is a very obvious and easy to use main menu that looks attractive to use which creates a consistent want to use the app and consistency is key for improvement! Spot on app!!

Please be aware that when you sign up for a ‘free’ period, you need to cancel before the month is up AND you need to ask for an email confirming your cancellation. They do not make it easy to cancel, ‘confuse the user’ tactic. I thought I did cancel my subscription after 1 month but I had not. Better Me continued to take a payments via PayPal each month. Better Me will respond with “BetterMe cannot charge one's account without the direct permission of the user”. But this is not the point of my complaint, my point is that this App owner never sent email or text receipts, there were no emails to keep in contact about progress. They just took my money for months, when clearly there was no activity on my account. PayPal should send receipts as well but do not, so I emailed them to complain about this poor process. When my husband finally asked about the monthly this payment, I realised that payments were meant to have stopped. I then emailed asking them to cancel and asked for a refund. They did reply, but after several emails, they only agreed to refund a 1/4 of my unused subscription when they knew I never used this App.

Fraudulent Bank Account Activity!!

So I signed up to BetterMe almost a week ago. I decided the 12 week option was better value for money than the 4 week option and was excited to get started.. on opening the app I was hit with a barrage of “upselling” messages primarily about 1-on-1 coaching, which I repeatedly declined! These messages did not stop and I couldn’t get past them so I shut the app down for an hour or so. I had some online banking to take care of and noticed that I had been charged for the coaching — even though I did NOT agree to it at any point!! I immediately went into the app and tried to cancel it (you can’t); I spoke with the allocated coach/bot (?) about cancelling it and getting a refund, and was told to go to settings etc which I’d already done. I then contacted support and logged an issue and STILL have NOT heard back from them!!! 2 days ago I was sent an email asking to complete a survey for them, which I did, telling them that if I had not heard back within 48 hours I’d post this review. All I want is a refund for a service I never signed up for… How hard can it be???

Betterme is a scam

Be very cautious with this app. We you click on the trial 30 day work out they intentionally confuse users by signing you up for their Web based subscription. I thought I was subscribed to their App for $50 per month but began seeing $50 per month disappearing from my account. I thought another family member might have been using the product but when I finally confirmed that no one else was I had already been charged $250. I couldn’t understand what was happening as my iPhone subscription clearly said that I had a $50 annual sub and yet here I was having $50 per month taken from my account. When I finally informed Betterme that there had been some mistake and I wanted the funds returned they told me that I had signed up on the website as well as the app and that they would not return the money. After repeated demands for the money to be returned, only 50% of the funds were returned. I feel completely ripped off and have lost my faith in the App Store to control scam apps like this.
