You will love this game. Visually one of the best looking games on mobile. The story are engaging. Combat is fluid and the cut scenes blend so well before and after combat. But the thing I love most is how unique and diverse the heroes are. I mean and elf Samurai and a dragonkin paladin? What? Amazing. Seriously their interactions between each other are great, each personality shines through, and by no means do I want to trash any of them, like I do in so many other games like this.

Don’t get sucked into another “pay to advance.”

I played this game for three years. It’s fun when you start out, but over time, if the repetition and grinding doesn’t wear you down the blatant cash grabs will hopefully deter you. After quitting many games for the same reason, I started this one in the hopes that it could be played for free, without in app purchases, but Playkot slowly and continuously added more and more hero’s with few opportunities to advance them without payment. Free play is possible, but unrealistic when events to advance you heroes require… advanced heroes.Like all games of this type that require the random luck of mystery chests, it is really a lottery and should be viewed as gambling. The further you advance the more disappointing drop rates become. The consolation for receiving duplicate materials is poor, and only provides a fraction of the cost to open yet another chest with the same ghastly odds.When season passes were first introduced the small cost and rewards seemed worth it, but the costs only became higher and the rewards worse. Playkot spends most of its time developing ways to prey on player addiction instead of the game itself. Please avoid starting another game that only wants to take advantage of you.

Great game but I have never seen dark campaign characters shards showing in tomb of horrors. So basically my dark characters are way lower level and weaker. Now leveling them up was originally on par with the light characters but since getting tomb of horrors I’ve been able to quickly make the dwarves unstoppable 🤗but I’m fighting level 54 on the first level of hive act 4 dark campaign. If you go to light campaign they’re on 40. So if this is meant to be then you have to spend far more time and money trying to get your dark characters up to speed. Besides that I highly recommend this, been playing this for months!!!!! Great gameplay, Addictive ☺️Decided to delete this game. They still haven’t managed to keep the dark campaign characters on par with the light. Kobolds are so weak compared to the dwarves who dominate. If I put my light team against my dark it would be a joke. I’d say a few hits each character would do it. They can take a hit and deal one. So basically each stage in heroic mode I needed a buddy who was level 60-70 otherwise no fun times.

Worth playing, but the grind is real

While the game is EXTREMELY worth paying for anyone who lites tactical genre games, the lack of real progression really drags away from the joy. The game pretty much blackmails you to make micro transactions, and even then you’re buying a the ability to gamble for a few shards needed to obtain a hero. I’m open to the idea of micro transaction to generate revenue for free and easily enjoyed games, however it seems like they are pushing you to purchase a ticket to gamble - which is NOT the way to go about it. If one hero costs 30-50 shards, and you have to spend money to get coins to open a chest to get a chance of getting 1-5 shards, costing $20+ a try, it’s not worth it. That, or grind for what is quite literally months to get the hero without paying.
