HOW WE GET YOU OFF HINGE
When it comes to online dating, people are so busy matching that they’re not actually connecting, in person, where it counts. Hinge is on a mission to change that. So we built an app that’s designed to be deleted. Here’s how:
* We quickly learn your type. You’ll only be introduced to the best people for you.
* We give you a sense of someone’s personality. You’ll get to know potential dates through their unique answers to prompts, as well as information like religion, height, politics, dating intentions, relationship type, and much more.
* We make it easy to start a conversation. Every match begins by someone liking or commenting on a specific part of your profile.
* We want you to feel confident about meeting people in person. Selfie Verification makes it easier for daters on Hinge to ensure that they are who they say they are.
* We ask how your dates are going. After exchanging phone numbers with a Match, we’ll follow up to hear how your date went so we can make better recommendations in the future.
The app is free to use. Members looking to see everyone who likes them or send unlimited likes can upgrade to Hinge+. To access additional features, including enhanced recommendations and priority likes, we offer HingeX.

The app has a very good potential. But I live in Norway and if my twin flame/the one is in a other country I can’t find the person. I can only se people in Norway or at a distance of 160km. And there is not many people in Norway that knows about this app so my swipe list is short.You should have a setting were you can swipe globally. I don’t care if my (the one) lives on the other side of the planet. I’d travel the ♾ times around the world for that person.

Har prøvd Tinder, Bumble, Badoo, møteplassen og andre. For å si det enkelt, Hinge er best av alle for deg som faktisk leter etter noe seriøst. Alle jenter som leter etter oppmerksomhet bruker tinder, så du unngår de. Hinge pusher ganske hardt på å utfylle informasjon om degselv med spørsmål, bilder, video og lydopptak. Resultatet er at det ikke er profiler som består bare av ett bilde og ingen beskrivelse (som er normalt på tinder). Du har informasjon å bruke når du begynner samtalen og det betyr bedre samtaler og mindre smalltalk. Etter 2 matcher, har jeg en date. Det skjer bare ikke på andre apper (er mann.. det er ikke lett).Det er mye mer jeg kan si, men ingen leser dette. Bare stol på at etter 30,000 swipes og 1000+ matches totalt på andre apper er Hinge lett den beste dating appen jeg har brukt. Ikke bokstavelig talt perfekt, men 5 stjerner uansett.

Et mer seriøst alternativ til Tinder, o.l. ‘hook-up’-apper, som er opptatt av personprofilering. Veldig spennende konsept, og ikke minst måten de har valgt å gjøre det på, men en utfordring, slik jeg ser det, er rett og slett at mange kvinner som bruker Hinge bruker appen som om det skulle vært Tinder; minimal informasjon om dem selv, kun selfies… Da forsvinner jo litt av poenget med denne type app, når profilen er ment som en mer personlig fremvisning som ikke utelukkende baserer seg på utseende men også personlighet… Det er i dag mange norske som bruker appen, men selvfølgelig fortsatt mange mindre enn på Tinder. Daglige likes er derfor begrenset til 10 per dag, noe som gjør at du også får et større incentiv til å velge bort de du faktisk ikke tror ville vært en god match med deg. Algoritmen lærer å gjenkjenne hvilke typer personer du ‘liker’ og hvilke typer du velger bort, slik at du forhåpentligvis skal få en nogenlunde godt utvalg basert på dine preferanser. Alt dette tekniske er vel og bra, men selve hovedproblemet går igjen også her som i alle andre date-apper; kvinner ‘liker’ veldig sjeldent, så ikke forvent at kvinnene er mindre utseende-fokusert her enn på andre datingapper. Det som midlertidig er fint er at når man både gir og får en like, så ser man hvem det er uten at man trenger å matche med hverandre på forhånd, slik at man kan velge om man vil ‘like’ tilbake. Slik som i Facebook Dating. En veldig fin funksjon! En seriøs utfordrer til Tinder.
