Something very large and hungry lives at the bottom of the sea, and in Feed the Deep, only you can find it. Plunge into procedurally generated waters full of uncharted caves, eerie relics and tentacled monsters as you search for the Deep – a terrifying leviathan that’ll attack your city if it doesn’t get a meal. Each run has new mysteries to discover – and deadly dangers to face.
What we love: How (ahem) deep it is! In one expedition, you’ll use portable teleporters to reach otherwise inaccessible tunnels; in another, you’ll stumble into hidden areas after detonating a bomb to kill a squid-like behemoth. Navigating claustrophobic caverns by the dim glow of your lamp means balancing risk and reward. Will you find vast treasures or a watery grave?
Quick tip: Use guide lines! These spools of rope are a great way to retrace your path through twisting underwater passages. They also give a speed boost that can make all the difference – especially when you’re low on air and racing to resurface.
Meet the creator: Australian indie developer Luke Muscat was the driving force behind the blockbuster games Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride before striking out on his own in 2022. As a nod to his roots, Muscat hid a playable prototype of Jetpack Joyride within Feed the Deep.
