APPS WE LOVE

Lingualog

Every diary entry is a lesson.

Consistency is key when it comes to learning a language – and keeping a diary. Lingualog combines the two to create daily lessons that you can take as you write.

What we love: Writing about our day, then comparing the original text with AI proofread versions to see how our grammar or diction can be improved. Want to work on your listening and speaking too? Try having your entries read aloud in more than 20 different voices spanning American, British, Australian and Indian English.

Review and learn from your diary entries on the report tab.

Don’t miss: If you’re ever stuck on what topic to write, the app offers a variety of diary themes, including Food & Dining, Entertainment & Hobbies as well as Outings & Travel. You’ll also find collections of words and phrases related to each theme, helping you build your vocabulary as you write.

Meet the creator: Lingualog was created by individual developer Saika Natsui, who came up with the idea of an English diary app to improve her own language skills, recognising the need for a proactive, effective and sustainable approach to learning. After posting your diary entries, you’ll be rewarded with messages offering gentle encouragement.
