Watermelon Merge is a casual mobile game where the objective is to merge falling fruit into larger and more valuable fruits to complete level objectives. The gameplay now includes two new features - gravity reversal and drop merge.
The basic gameplay loop is as follows:
Fruit of various types (watermelon, grapes, oranges, etc.) fall from the top of the screen at a steady pace.
The player can now tap or drag the falling fruit and place them on top of other fruit of the same type. Additionally, the player can reverse the gravity and drop fruit from the bottom of the screen onto existing fruit to create merges.
When two or more of the same fruit type are combined, they merge into a larger version of that fruit.
The goal for each level is to collect a certain number of the largest fruit version before time runs out.
There are also power-ups that can be collected, such as auto-collect abilities, that make it easier to meet the level objectives.
The key challenges are quickly identifying matching fruit, precisely placing them to produce merges, and managing the timing as the fruit fall faster and faster. The new gravity reversal and drop merge features add an extra layer of strategy and complexity to the gameplay. Completing level objectives allows the player to advance to new, more difficult stages.
The game features colorful visuals, a relaxing soundtrack, and a simple but addictive gameplay loop that makes it easy to pick up and play in short bursts.
