Overall a fairly decent news app focusing on Ireland news, and easy to navigate between categories including weather forecasts. However it needs a Home button at the top of the App. The reason being is that you can advance to the top 5 news stories at the end of each news article, but you can only get back to the home page by flipping back through each news article you’ve read. A bit of a rookie error really for the app developers.

I really like this app even though it has some bugs I still use it for my news fix, but I tried to create an account and was blocked by a ‘prove you’re not a robot’ command that I couldn’t find a solution to. I may find the solution if I dig deeper but I use this app because I’m busy so I would expect the solution to be next to the command. I have to keep telling it where I live for weather etc unless I can create the account 🤷‍♀️

I like the new look of the app and it’s easy to navigate however I was disappointed that the update didn’t fix a problem I’ve been having for quite a while now. If I click into an image, I can’t go back to the story but instead have to close down and reopen the app. So many of the images are worth a closer look but it is quite tiresome to have to continually shut down and reopen. I’m using the most up to date version of iOS.

Bring back the time of the publication on the summary page.In the previous version on the summary page it would say how long ago the article was published. For example 20 min ago or two hours ago etc.Now you have to click in to the article to see it. It was very handy as you may have read an article earlier on but then notice that the time had been updated which would prompt you to read it again for any recent updates.
