Content Shows Promise, But Critical Flaws Need Fixing

I genuinely want to learn Mongolian, but this app’s design often hinders more than helps. Here’s how it could improve: 1. Writing Unit: - The letter-tracing rejects minor deviations (0.1mm inaccuracy!) with no guidelines or tolerance settings. Even as someone who writes Russian cursive fluently, I failed repeatedly. Add tracing guides and realistic handwriting acceptance. 2. Dialogue Exercises: - Randomly removes words never taught (e.g., Солонгосоос), then tests them without translations. Pre-teach vocabulary before testing gaps. - Forces rote memorization of full dialogues instead of teaching grammar rules (e.g., -аас/-оос suffixes). Explain patterns first! 3. Grammar Black Hole: - Throws complex sentences ("Та хаанаас ирсэн вэ?") without breaking down structure. Add a ‘Grammar Notes’ button for explanations. 4. Inconsistent Difficulty: - Jumps from "Hello" to untested advanced phrases in later units. Implement a leveled progression.5. No Error Feedback: - Doesn’t explain why an answer is wrong (e.g., гэдэг vs. байна). Provide corrections with examples. Suggestions: - Vocabulary lists before dialogues. - Adjustable strictness in writing exercises. - Grammar tooltips during gaps. The foundation is here, but these issues make learning needlessly frustrating. I’d love to update my rating if these are addressed!
