"Binaural beats" consist of two slightly distinct auditory frequencies (one in each ear), which are differentiated with clinical electroencephalographic (EEG) bandwidths, namely, delta, theta, alpha, beta, or gamma.
"Binaural beats" are a perception of sound. If you listen to two tones, each at a different frequency and each in a different ear, your brain creates an additional tone you can hear. This third tone is called a "Binaural beats".
While most studies on the effects of "Binaural beats" have been small, there are several that provide evidence that this auditory illusion does indeed have health benefits, especially related to anxiety, mood, and performance.
During sleep, the brain generates different types of brain waves depending on the sleep stage and the level of mental arousal. Low-frequency theta and delta brain waves are associated with relaxation and deep sleep. "Binaural beats" may help you sleep better by creating shifts toward theta and delta-type brain waves.
