I’ve been playing Spring Valley for a few day, I am about 10 hours in so far. It’s pretty much the same as most of the other farming games out there though I will say that graphically it is one of the better ones. Unfortunately progress through the game is laboriously slow. As far as I can work out, unlike other farming games, there is very little opportunity to gain free energy by watching ads etc and you are primarily stuck with waiting for it to replenish or by paying for it. I’m not adverse to paying to play but you get nearly nothing in return for your money. As I write this it would cost £3.49 for approximately 30 seconds of energy play which to my mind is ridiculously over priced. I will keep playing for a few more days to see if the pace picks up but I’m afraid if it stays the same as is right now I’ll will most likely be deleting the game. UPDATE: I’ve now discovered that not only do you need energy to gather resources you also need energy from the Power Station in order to maintain the production equipment which costs both resources and in game currency. It’s pretty much as I thought, the game looks great but the gameplay is far too laborious and costly…I’ve now downgraded to 1 star and sadly I’ve also deleted it.
We're sorry to read we left such a bad impression! 😥 Indeed, our game is designed to be played in short sessions rather than in long ones, however, if you use the free sources in the game as often as possible, the energy should be quite manageable. A full list of energy sources can be found on our help center. Regarding the power from the power plant, it's perhaps useful to think of it as workers that you have available on your farm to do various jobs, if they are all empoyed to do something, you need either to wait until some of them are done and can start new work or you need to get more by upgrading the power station, in our case. If you ever decide to give us one more try, please contact us, we'd love to talk to you about the game and offer a few hints and tips!
