I absolutely love this game. Its without doubt the best football game ever done. There is only one thing that I want to pull my hair out with. Sometimes you have to score up to 5 or 6 goals in a certain way to progress. If you have just scored number 4 which may take hours and hours to do your player doesn't jump for the ball or just gets tackled so easily you have to start from the beginning of the game nil nil again. I have had to go onto the internet to see how to do it and whats needed thinking of it as a training session as you still have to do it for yourself. A lot of times that doesn’t work as the players don't react like on the film. I have resorted to 24 hours of energy and cash of so much for between £1:99 and £3:99 . But for 24 hours you are asleep for at least of 7 of them and have other stuff to do like work. So you just get a few hours. I have read so many reviews with these same gripes but nothing gets changed. If you only stop the going back to nil- nil thing it would make the game worth 50 stars. It doesn’t do that in real football. There ought to be a setting or a one off purchase like they do for no adverts to stop this. I would buy this game outright if I could. I didn’t know of another way to get my thoughts to the game designers. You could also do other things to purchase like starting at lower leagues and work your way up and have more of a say where you sign for. I know nothing will be changed its a pity. Great game guys apart from this. Read all the reviews guys and learn from your frustrated game players.

Overall, I would give the the game 4 stars. The variety of scenarios makes each game fun and the graphics and run of play looks good and is realistic. There are a few issues that are annoying, which loses the games appeal. Because of these reasons I have fallen out of favour with the game over long periods of time, but have come back to play eventually. The most annoying example is when the player you have passed to dribbles directly into the defender or off the pitch. How can you lose energy and progress for something that is out of you control? Another issue I have is the energy concept. I get the idea of it, and it is the games main income, but you can’t actually play the game for a long period because you run out of energy quickly. This makes it very difficult to reach the sufficient amount of stars required to start a new season. Another issue I have is the oppositions goalkeeper. They save everything. It should be ‘nerfed’ a little bit; even when you get it perfectly into the top corner the goalkeeper still saves it sometimes. Overall I’d say the main issue is the difficulty of the game due to the lack of energy- I would love the game if energy didn’t exist. Another small glitch/issue is when you are trying to pass/shoot, occasionally a defender is stood directly in front of you. Wherever you try to pass it will be blocked. This doesn’t happen on the first screen you get given but after you’ve started an attack. I’ve played this game for years now- despite big breaks of time without playing, due to getting fed up with the energy concept. I’ve just completed season 32 but cannot start season 33 as I don’t have sufficient stars (I think these requirements are too high in later seasons and should be reduced).

This is literally the most infuriating game I’ve ever played. The whole system is broken and the fact how you have an energy system is just plain stupidity. The game also literally tries and forces you to spend money, in terms of you could be on a level where you have to score 4 goals, and you mess up on the third goal, meaning you have to restart the level again, unless you spend these cash tokens (which you mostly have to pay for) to rewind the play to try again, and if you don’t have any cash tokens you have to restart, which is really infuriating as sometimes the level can be hard and to almost get to the end only to fail and having to restart, is crap. Also the AI is simply broken, literally they never make good runs (even if you click on the player in order for them to run in that direction they still mess up), even if you do make the pass so many times they’ve dribbled the ball off the pitch, which results in you having to restart the match and there’s nothing you could have done to stop it. Also what’s the point if you pass the ball to a player, and literally when you pass it, an AI on the opposite team is standing directly in front of you, so that no matter what you do, he will block your pass and take the ball from you. And crosses are broken, 9/10 you will cross in a ball to another player and they won’t win the header or even jump for the ball.Long rant but just a broken game, literally garbage. Literally similar, possibly worse, than EA sports.
