This game has been an absolute joy for both me and my four-year-old granddaughter. We play it together, and I have to admit she’s already better at some of the challenges than I am! It’s been such a special way for us to spend time together. She loves the game so much I have to call her Bingoose! :DThe story is engaging and very true to the spirit of Bluey, it’s funny, gentle, and full of heart. The challenges are just right for young children, but there’s enough going on to keep adults involved too. We especially love the side quests, which add lots of extra fun and little surprises along the way.It encourages problem-solving, teamwork, and laughter, and it never feels rushed or frustrating. We’ve had so much fun playing together, and it’s created some really lovely memories for us.Well worth every penny. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a game they can genuinely enjoy with their child or grandchild.

After purchasing on the day of release for my daughter (4), I am really impressed with the design, gameplay and simple yet challenging tasks within this game, my daughter just loves it!However, my reasoning for just 4 stars comes from a place I hope the app developers can improve on. When given instructions this is all done in text, my daughter cannot read fluently and I would imagine the majority of the game audience will have this same issue. I don’t mind reading the words to her however this is a game I usually give her to pass the time while I am busy with household chores and I would much rather her be able to play independently, furthermore there is no “back” button for said instructions so that when my child excitedly skips ahead we must go all the way back to the beginning of the text to find what we have missed.It also surprised me that the parental controls on the app are simple reading tasks which a child who is able to read fluently will have no problem bypassing to pay for extra content. I hope this problem can be resolved as putting this issue aside, this game is honestly one of the best I have come across on the App Store.

As a game aimed at younger children, most of the text is not voiced, so kids aren’t able to work out what to do because they can’t read all of the text, and there is a lot. Aside from that, the full game is quite expensive for it to have such a large oversight in development… know your audience?The most ridiculous part of this is that to purchase the game they ‘block’ kids from accidentally purchasing the game by putting numbers, spelled out as words, in a pop up box that you need to read to type in the correct numbers, so they expect kids to not be able to read those, but expect them to read the walls of text in the game?

I really enjoyed playing this, you don’t need to find every candy in the level to get through so if some puzzles are a little tricky for kids they can move on and find the rest, the gameplay is quite intuitive and easy to pick up (at least for the first level!) It is a lot of money for the full game (nearly £12 which feels a lot for a mobile game), but I did enjoy it and as a fan of Bluey i will be purchasing the game when I have the money available to me
