After purchasing some Apple products and taking advantage of the free month of Apple TV subscription, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the TV series “Severance” and the “Silo” I hope they add more seasons. I appreciate how it integrates various subscriptions into a single app, such as Discovery+, Crunchyroll, and Paramount+.However, the only downside is the lack of genre information while watching. I also find it annoying that the app constantly recommends “Ted Lasso” which after watching is pretty good but after completing a season of another show it automatically starts another one. No matter There should be a way to allow users to select their preferred content from recommendations in a separate section. Additionally, a button to remove unwanted items from the watchlist would be beneficial. While £8.99 is a reasonable price, if the app starts charging the same as Netflix and includes advertisements, it may lose its appeal. So far, it outperforms Netflix in terms of value for money.
Unbelievably poor choice, extra charges, no ratings option either

Who is giving this app a high rating, its got about 20 things to watch! unless you count..yawn... music documentaries and..yawn yawn YAWN.. sports programmes! Good grief, Ted Lasso seems to have been lurking around for years...dreadful sickenly awful acting and dull content, who votes for that? Oh yeah, the americans, theyll watch any old garbage. The latest offering 'Constellation'.... wow! Been a while since ive seen anything quite so cack! Absolutely shocking , poor story, dull and dreary cast, id rather paint my ceilings! And on that point, Apple! sort out the highlighting..it's almost impossible to tell if you have selected the right tile/programme! It doesnt get larger enough, doesnt get an outline..its indistinguishable from the items left and right! The app doesnt remember where you last left an episode or film! The simplest of functions is absent. And please can you explain why there is no rating facility on apple tv?! Surely we should by now be able to select a review option to rate what wehave watched! ! This app is so over rated and over priced... charging £16 for a film that was out last year! Get a grip Apple. Poor , outdated choice of titles, awful interface, its a rip off. Im cancelling! Bad enough you cant sort out the awful O365 incompatibility issues but now to pay £10 a month for a tv app that breadcrumbs a scant choice of rubbish and dated programmes! We dont button up the back!
What’s the point of it?

You see, I searched for the thing I want to watch on Apple TV because I was curious to see if it was on Apple TV. I got a subscription of Apple TV+ that was included with a gift card, too. And as it turns out, I can’t watch the thing I wanted to watch because Apple TV doesn’t actually let me watch it, rather redirecting me to other streaming services which I don’t own a subscription for. And I tested to see if it’s even possible to watch anything, so I clicked on a random movie that was advertised for Apple TV+, and it let me watch it for free on-app. So, to my understanding, Apple TV is just a hub for entertainment that just redirects you to other apps, which is pointless, since that’s what the home screen and Google are for, but you CAN watch on-app the things Apple wants you to watch with Apple TV+, but ONLY those things and nothing else. What’s the point of Apple TV? I want to watch the thing I want to watch (god forbid), so when I was prompted with Apple TV+ when I redeemed my App Store gift card, I thought “oh cool, maybe I can watch the thing I want to watch on there” so I had a look, and it only offered to redirect me to other streaming services, which then said I can’t watch the thing unless I have a subscription for them, which is stupid because why did I get Apple TV+ then?
Nothing but Hassle. Going back to Netflix

Total garbage. Hideously slow to load. Flickering screen when all other TV apps work fine 🤦♂️ and awful service. Phone Support tech issues mean the line keeps dropping when reporting a problem. #Tedious. If you hover over a title it doesn’t tell you anything about that program. It’s near impossible to play previous episodes because you have to go through a very long task of hunting it down and looking for the exact type of genre it belongs too to get to the title. After 23 yrs using Apple I can safely say Apple can’t do anything right these days, whether it’s their abysmal iOS 16 which needs constant updates or Apple TV which I tried out for the first time. On my LG 50” we get flickering episodes which we have to quit and relaunch to resolve. On the web, on a MacBook you get frozen pictures but the subtitles keep moving forward. If you select subtitles in the bottom right, the menu runs away from your cursor up a list of languages for voiceovers. On the MacBook you can’t click on the screen to pause it. It’s like no one cares at Apple because all they seem to do nowadays is add more useless features that means more clicks to enable you to do something that took less clicks.
