Hear My Baby uses your iPhone’s microphone to listen for abdominal sounds; it’s not a doppler and doesn’t emit ultrasound. It’s a lifestyle keepsake for bonding and sharing, not a medical device and not for diagnosis. Results vary with weeks and baby position (many families hear best from 16+ weeks, clearest around ~27 weeks). If you’re worried at any time in pregnancy, please contact your clinician. For peace of mind, you can use Airplane Mode.
How it works (quick start)
1. Find a very quiet room and remove your phone case
2. Place the iPhone microphone on your lower belly and move slowly
3. Our advanced audio engine isolates and amplifies fetal heartbeat sounds so you can listen and save the recording, and trim it to the appropriate moment for sharing quickly and easily.
4. Best from around 16+ weeks; clearest for many families at ~27 weeks. Results vary with baby’s position and placenta location.
Tips for best results
- Be still, breathe lightly, and try several positions around your bump
- Press the mic firmly against the skin; explore low and to the sides
- Bluetooth/over-ear headphones can make subtle sounds easier to hear
