Hi there, I've been pretty busy, but I managed to squeak out this needed patch. The game has gotten pretty hard to work with tbh, so any support would be welcomed. Bug Patch : * Starting the adventure will no longer occasionally freeze your game * The dead are added to the fallen tab. * Swapping the places of survivors and then tapping should no longer crash the game. * Returning from an adventure should not break the “Going out” selector * The wrong ending should no longer appear. * The chance of being eaten while running has been fixed. * Walking on difficult terrain should now consume the proper amount of stamina. * You can no longer resurrect people from the dead by asking them to partake in on a building project or swap places. * You should no longer be able to progress turns while the adventure is over. * Left-handed mode has been fixed. * You can join the Discord server if you win.

Debugging and Optimization Fixed bugs : Zombies now see and attack. The people you send on mission no longer disappear temporarily when you exit and enter during a mission. Optimization : Big performance fix. Game should load quickly. May not be observable for y'all but it means that future development and debugging should go more smoothly Explanation For Computer Nerds : For performance - I got someone to help me out for a bit. Turns out I had the game create its entire audio system 10 more times than it needed to. On top of which, to create the audio system, the audio system itself handled creating each sound effect, taking a whole 10 seconds to load. Thus, every time I wanted to even start testing I had to wait at minimum 1-2 minutes. It was fixed via a singleton and a use of asynchronous loading/delegation of SFX. People Disappearing - To keep track of where the people are, there’s a enum. Essentially a custom marker. When you exit the game however, the people would remain in the mission, I just simply told it to send people back when the player opens it back. For zombies seeing - Zombies have conditions which let them see something. Beforehand there was only targets that were visible and not visible, but I added in another type where targets could be attention grabbing. I left an "and" statement so targets needed to be attention grabbing and visible, which was impossible since it could only hold one state.

My bad, I forgot to turn off a couple settings while debugging. The following should be fixed : Your units do not damage themselves or each other or with telepathy at long range. The game does not crash when you search. The map generation is fixed.

Happy Winter Break Guys and Girls!!! I got really busy with school, but it's over for now, and I had been working on this update every now and then. I'm excited to share it with ya since I feel my game really needed some of these updates. Here's What's New : Zombie Features Eyeballs - They have been given eyes. Their vision works off line of sight, although it’s a bit buggy so the view range has been limited. Genuine Wandering - Instead of jerking around randomly, they will pick a place within their line of sight and make their way to it. Pathfinding - Instead of getting stuck on a single tile, they can go around the tile, and they will try to work their way around a larger obstacle. Permanent Accommodations - You should no longer need to keep reseting your accommodations as you play. New Tiles : (Sorry for lack of art. Still working on my art skills.) Starting Zones - Your survivors now start out with little hidy holes. Zombie Spawners - Tiles when night falls where zombies will spawn from. New UI : Building UI - Say goodbye to the build menu's boring "+" and "-" and say hello to something y'all will find much more intuitive. You use the same selection bar you used to select survivors to go outside, for selecting which survivors you want in each building. You are able to close and open these selection bars, but they will still present to you relevant data. Resources - There is also now an active display for the resource production and consumption Bug fixes : Selection UI - Bug where you tap and it doesn’t select the first time should never happen again. It has been reprogrammed so that issue should be not physically possible. Graveyard - It works now. Construction Tools - Forgot flavor text. Buildings - They should be much less buggy Zombie Agro - Zombies should turn red all of the time when they see a survivor. For Computer Nerds : Outside Phase - A lot of unseen stuff was dramatically overhauled. Each time the game wanted to find a piece, it would have to search the entire board from top to bottom. The game no longer does it. All the pieces are stored on an array with their location with them. Buildings - Buildings used to work by storing a duplicate array of the survivors inside of it; however, now it just checks the main array of survivors, thus erasing any issues with duplicating survivors or something. Selection UI - Used to be way more complicated than it should have been, but now it's much simpler and more reliable. It was a massive headache though. CS Plans - I haven't been using SpriteKit. I haven't had the time to learn. The Future? : I hope to roll something out before Christmas rolls around. I might break it up into bits or something, idk. I'm thinking some important bug fixes like :  Sound - I finally noticed and I tried to tackle the sound issues, but they've completely baffled me. Time for round two. Left-handed Mode - Admittedly, I did sacrifice the left-handed mode for the new ui. I plan to restore it but I haven't received any feedback on whether it really helps or not, so I have moved it a bit lower on the list. Zombie Sight - The issues with the zombie view is that sometimes the zombies can see around walls, so I plan to try to fix that, unless ya'll like the limit on view range, I haven't really received any feedback. And maybe a new feature or two : Animations - Believe it or not there used to be animations, VERY basic ones, but I thought they made things nicer. Though when I asked someone for help they broke it and then ripped it out. Been at a loss on how to fix them. Character System - I have a pretty ambitious plan to make survivors more life like and to make the game more dynamic. Thinking that on top of managing the camp you have to manage your people and their personalities, though with them come bonuses too and events and decisions which affect your camp and story and people. What’s new? : Four new maps. Five new buildings - Two stamina upgrades, two damage upgrades, and one upgrade which doubles the speed which your survivors build things. A pop up for when all the survivors you send on an expedition die. The variety of the names of survivors has been quadrupled, as well as their personalities. Bug fixes : When you boot up the game, you should be able to select things with your first tap now. Text when you fail to run home should show up corresponding to how many survivors you have left. QOL : When you receive the night decision you should no longer be able to accidentally progress turns. Sound cues should play if you try to put too many people in a building Descriptions of buildings have been made more uniform. Rebalances : Building material prices have been changed Mines now consume food due to hard work. Nurseries now consume one material as well, due to survivors making extra care in the safety of kids. Build time has been halved. Starting survivor damage has been halved. Randomly generated maps have been disabled

New Features Walking on different terrain makes different sounds. Minor rewrites of the victory and defeat screens Improvements The volume of sound effects have been rebalanced, for a more whole auditorial experience. The build menu has been tided up in order to be less cluttered and more intuitive. The outside tutorial has been rewritten to be more direct. Bugs Fixes  Bug where victory screen doesn't show up, should be fixed. The victory screen should only show up once after you make the cure, unless you restart the game. Tutorials should only show up once for new players.
