Version 1.6 improves PhotoNav's reliability when it's invoked from another app such as Photos. PhotoNav now requires iOS 10.3 or later.

PhotoNav now points you in the direction you want to go, handy for those situations where directions are not available or appropriate—in a parking lot, for example, or on unmapped trails. If available, you'll also get an estimate of actual driving (or walking!) distance and time. Tap the pointer to switch between driving and walking. There' s new icon to go with it, and reliable operation when invoked from Photos (this time for sure!).

PhotoNav now tries to show both you and your picture in the initial map view. And a persistent, nagging crash when running PhotoNav from Photos or other apps should be gone for good.

Drag the address bar to make the photo bigger or smaller. Tap or double-tap the photo and see what happens (could be handy; you never know). Wide photos? Rotate your phone (yeah, we know, but 1.0 didn't notice). Finally, there's a PhotoNav Action Extension: invoke PhotoNav directly from Photos. Handy!
