From Charles Cecil, creator of the Broken Sword series, with art direction by Dave Gibbons, legendary comic book artist behind ‘Watchmen’, comes ‘Beyond a Steel Sky’, the long awaited sequel to the cult classic ‘Beneath a Steel Sky’.
You are Robert Foster. A child has been abducted in a brutal attack. You have vowed to bring him home. But the trail has led you from your community of desert wasteland dwellers, to Union City, one of the last remaining mega-cities in a world ravaged by shattering wars, and political meltdown.
Fortified and impenetrable, it is a utopia in which people live happily under the surveillance and control of a benign AI. But all is far from what it seems...
‘Beyond a Steel Sky’ is a dramatic, humorous, cyberpunk thriller in which engaging puzzles drive a fast-paced narrative set in a dynamic gameworld that responds to – and is subverted by – the player’s actions.
• An adventure set within a dynamic world, populated by willful characters driven by motivations that the player can subvert. In combination with a unique hacking tool, multiple solutions to puzzles emerge from player choices.
• Unravel dark conspiracies, defeat a terrifying antagonist in this dramatic, humorous, cyberpunk thriller, which explores contemporary themes: social control, AI, and total surveillance.
• Intelligent puzzles are interwoven with an intriguing dramatic narrative to deliver a compelling gameplay experience.
• A beautifully detailed, comic-book styled world, from the mind of legendary comic artist Dave Gibbons.
I feel like this game is good value. Will take about 2 weeks of casual play to complete. Puzzles are decent. Story is decent. It’s really dystopian at the beginning and I found I had to struggle through the first 30 minutes, but then it got interesting. Some of the mechanics are bit difficult for touchscreen. A couple of the puzzles are obvious but not obvious, meaning that you’re doing things correctly, but slightly out of order. That can be frustrating because it’s becomes about guessing what the developers were thinking.Still, one of the best titles on arcade. A sequel would be cool.Update: received a response from the developer, which I always find to be a positive metric for how much they care about their product. Although there are no details about a sequel (which would still be cool) they did let me know that the game is based on an older game on the App Store called “beneath a steel sky”. I’ll have to check it out.

Thank you for taking the time to voice out your honest review. This means a lot to us. Did you know that this game is based on another game we made in 1994? It's called Beneath A Steel Sky and you can check it out on the App Store :) All the best from us at Revolution

Everything about this game was amazing, it made me laugh with Joey's puns and made me cry twice at the end. You guys made such a great emotional rollercoaster of a game!
Great game but it has some bugs

This game is great if you like adventure type games it reminds me of my old favourites the Tex Murphy games. Great visuals a dialogs. I would absolutely give it a 5 but the Only issue is it crashed a time or 2 and I’m also stuck on the elevator after messing with the fireworks. I really would like a fix so I can continue. Game is halted right now.
Interesting game

I was a little bit hesitant to play, but got hooked within 15 minutes of play. Time surely fly when you play this game. I played on iPad 4th gen. and game was smooth, no glitches . I love story, very interesting play and story. I found character moving too slow and annoying. However a truly unique game. Give it try.
• Improved performance for lower specification devices
• Improved controls
• Improved stability
• Several bugfixes
• Added Polish subtitles
