Great experience, great game

I don’t often leave game reviews, but I wanted to share the experience I had - I got a pop-up offer to complete a game survey for a reward of 30 gems which I accepted, however the game glitched and refreshed after re-opening the app once I had finished the survey, and I didn’t receive the 30 gem reward. I was a little bummed out since I love this game and had just spent a good 10 minutes doing the survey, so I decided to send an email to the support team to let them know. I figured I probably wouldn’t get a response, or would just get an automated bot reply, but instead I got an email back (from a real person!) apologising for the issue and offering their help to correct the problem and send me the 30 gem reward. I was so pleased since I wasn’t really expecting any kind of response or human interaction! It’s a really positive sign that the developers of this game actually care about the game and content they’re creating and care about their fans, rather than just churning out low-effort content to make money. And it shows too - the art style and attention to detail is gorgeous, and so far the story I’ve progressed through has been unique and entertaining to play.

Came for the cozy cafe game, stayed for the characters and absolutely compelling story. Usually I end up putting down and never picking-back-up merge games after a while and I never review, but the team here have me on the edge of my seat all the way where I keep coming back everyday, waiting for the next chapter! The character arcs are so well developed but never takes itself too seriously, and the story is so fun, with homages to classics. And absolutely love how the updates keep it interesting. There were a few bugs here and there over time, but never enough to ruin the game for me. I don’t ever expect absolute perfection with every update or every app that is still developing itself.

I found this game via the game CritterCoast, which I also love ! I’ve been playing it for a few months now and I really enjoy it ! I love merge games but am quite picky about the aesthetics and gameplay, but starbrew has surpassed my pickiness straight into my heart 🖤 The graphics are super cute and lovely to look at. The NPCs are really unique too ! You can easily accrue energy without paying and I really appreciate that. My only gripe is that after idk maybe level 5 or 6 (extremely early on in the game) the storyline just stops. I thought that it might come back at some point in an update but I’m on level 23 right now and there is still no storyline. I am not normally interested in merge game story’s, but the characters and designs of starbrew’s were too intriguing to not pay attention to. I’m sad that the story stopped, and am hoping that it’ll pick up again 🙏🏼🫶🏼

The story line is wonderful! I find many other games with the same trope always forces ads down your throat but I can honestly say you never have to have them unless you CHOOSE to watch one for a reward (and they really reward you well!) I’m currently at over 1000 diamonds (premium currency) and that’s purely just from playing and rewards. So kudos to the game developers, the writers, the animators and everyone else helping this game behind the scenes. This is my favourite mobile game and will be for years to come xx
