Cancels trip last minute

We had booked a campervan on Maui over New Years, which was last minute canceled by the owner due to an unfortunates breakdown of the van with the previous renters. Outdoorsys customer service answered quickly and gave us the money back but there were no other equal cars available at similar conditions on such short notice. Outdoorsy declined to pay the difference to the now of course much higher priced rentals. We then had to cancel our flight and rearrange travel and we asked for support in finding other options not on outdoorsy. Again outdoorsy declines any support. Outdoorsy only offered a 75$ credit on their platform but no help otherwise, even though evidently there was noting similar they could offer. The customer service kept repeating the same lines. When planing a trip to high demand places, after this experience we recommend using a standard platform that has procedures in place to help out when things don’t work out.

I highly recommend not using this app. After my trip ended, the host took $600 from my account two weeks later. I followed up with Outdoory, and they explained it was for refueling costs and their service fee. After two months of back-and-forth emails, I managed to recoup $400. The issue is that hosts can input any amount to take out of the bond, and Outdoory doesn’t check it but will still charge you a service fee.They will leave you in and wind or offer you a voucher… both just as uselessPlease, please read the reviews of this app. I wish I had.
