I have a bunch of free apps but like Newtracs above all the others. It is 100% usable as the free version without being too complicated.I might go on 6-8 day trips a year and although I’d love to try the premium membership- $100 a year is a bit Steep for occasional use. Maybe a middle tier of user should be introduced where users can earn a subscription by recording and rating tracks - it would make the available data more comprehensive and encourage users to contribute. I think if the annual price was lower, you’d have more subscribers and more income overall - especially when you consider the competition and what is available for fixed price purchase. All in all, I’d rather use Newtracs but $100 is just too steep to get me to take the plunge.

This is the most simple way to find the closest tracks in your area. The colors are distinct and I know what everything is. Also there aren’t many apps that allow you to gauge the difficulty of these off road tracks, and you can get stuck on tracks that you underestimate if using other apps. One feature I wouldn’t mind is being able to see other users comments and reviews of the tracks, it’s a bit frustrating that there’s a good review system, but it’s only for the Newtracs team to look at.

The app does its intended purpose only issue I have is a lot of tracks labeled “very difficult” you’ll go out to them and they are basically a flat road and the recent trail activities will even show they are “easy” tracks but won’t update.This goes the other way you’ll find “medium” tracks that are absolutely insane tracks and again recent trail activity will show people rating it as a very difficult trail. I’ve seen some tracks that are blue with 7+ people saying it’s a difficult trail but it won’t update the track colour. Idk might just be me who’s upset about that but what’s the point of rating a trail if it won’t change feels like the money spent to rate trails Is pointless. Other than that good app helped me find my way around heaps!

We have just spent the last 3weeks exploring the east Pilbara region of WA. The app was flawless when used offline. More than 90% of all tracks marked on other maps (paper and digital) were shown on the app. I used it in its simplest form and found it brilliant. There is heaps of features that I didn’t use. But just logging trips data was invaluable. For remote area touring it 100% gives Hema and others a run for there money! I guess the more info we as users put into it the better it will get for everyone using it.
